‘Clash of the Blues’ on Wembley: Ziyech is basic player in English cup topper

Hakim Ziyech is base player for Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City. The ‘encounter of blues’, played at Wembley, results in the first finalist of the oldest cup tournament in the world.
Thomas Tuchel, the trainer of Chelsea, announced his setup more than an hour before the kick-off and shows that Ziyech is playing from the kick-off. The Moroccan playmaker, who has to sit on the spare bench more often than he likes, has to make sure that Timo Werner is supplied with supplies.
Ziyech, Werner and Mount seem to alternate three of the four offensive places in the Blues team. Ben Chilwell, normally left-back, is in all likelihood posted as left outside. In the last few weeks Tuchel chose players like Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz, but the two are now on the bench.

At Man City ‘cup goalkeeper’ Zack Steffen, as usual in the FA Cup, gets another place under the bar of Pep Guardiola. Furthermore, the Spaniard opts for a particularly strong formation, in which Gabriel Jesus is at the tip of the attack. The tactics with the false striker, which has been used more often by City over the past few weeks, are being pushed aside.
