Clear language from Belgium after EK-exit: ‘Voting, but no problem’

The elimination of Belgium at the European Championships will not cost national coach Roberto Martínez. The Royal Belgian Football Association has expressed confidence in the 47-year-old Spaniard.
Martínez took over Marc Wilmotss baton in 2016 and led The Red Devils to a bronze medal at the World Cup and to the leading position in the FIFA World Ranking. However, the European Championship became an anticlimmax: Italy turned out to be too big in the quarterfinals. The national coach criticised the left and right, but KBVB-CEO Peter Bossaert speaks clear language in a conversation with Sporza. Within the Belgian football association, Martínez is not considered to be the culprit for the early elimination. Theres no reason to point the staff, it sounds.
At the KBVB they want to continue with Martínez: there will be no evaluation. Tomorrow (Monday, ed.) we are already preparing for the September and October races. Martínez is there, says the CEO of the Belgian Football Association.
Moreover, Bossaert doesnt think the national coach will hold honour to himself. I dont feel Martínez would leave himself, he says. I know where the mood maker comes from, but theres no problem with Martínez right now, it sounds.
