Wout Weghorst gets serious competition in rush hour at VfL Wolfsburg. Trainer Mark van Bommels club took over Lukas Nmecha, a striker of Germanys Under 21 team, from Manchester City.
Wolfsburg has been looking for a rush hour for a while and found it in Nmecha. The club does not say about a transfer fee, but according to German media, Die Wölfe paid eight million euros to take over the talented German from Manchester City. In addition to Weghorst, Van Bommel has another serious option in the tip of the attack. He signs for four seasons at the Volkswagen Arena.
Nmecha was active at the last European Championships under 21 and impressed there. He became European champion with his team and scored four times, including a group stage hit against Young Orange. At Manchester City, the striker never broke through, but during a rental period with Anderlecht, he scored eighteen goals in 37 league matches. Two seasons ago, Nmecha played temporarily for Wolfsburg, but that wasnt a success.
