Creators of The Elder Scrolls make The Wayward Realms role-playing game

More than a year ago, it was revealed that natives of the Bethesda studio, who worked on the first installments of The Elder Scrolls series, had founded their own studio Once Lost Games. They announced their debut project, open-world role-playing game The Wayward Realms. ESO portal interviewed key studio staff: Ted Peterson, who created a significant part of the mythology of The Elder Scrolls, programmer, game designer and musician Julian le Fey, as well as director, lead designer and executive producer of The Elder Scrolls: Arena Vijay Lakshman.

The creators of The Wayward Realms assured that the game is created by the same canons as The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall. However, it uses the most modern technologies and mechanics.

The action of The Wayward Realms will take place in an open world consisting of hundreds of islands. And one of the most important aspects of the work is the appropriate scaling to make the scale of the environment look realistic.

In the game world will be inhabited by many factions that feud or cooperate with each other. And the player will be given the opportunity to choose how to build relationships with them and what decisions to make.

So far neither supported platforms nor the estimated release dates of The Wayward Realms are named.
