Thijs Dallinga has crowned Excelsior‘s great hero. The 21-year-old striker scored a whopping four times visiting FC Den Bosch, leading his team to victory.
Between the nineteenth and thirtieth minutes Dallinga went loose at Excelsior. He made a pure hat trick in that time frame. At his first hit Dallinga tapped the ball from the sky behind goalkeeper Wouter van der Steen. In the 0-2, the born Groninger cut out an opponent nicely, after which he took control of a hit. His third hit made the attacker out of the clutch. In doing so, Dallinga made sure that there was a 0-3 stand on the scoreboard at halftime.

After the break, Marouan Azarkan was in the spotlight instead of Dallinga. The Feyenoord mercenary handed out a panna to Teun van Grunsven, while the game was already shut down. In the 74th minute Dallinga was the big man again: he then made his fourth hit of the night at Mats Wieffer‘s report.
In the final phase, Reuven Niemeijer, Excelsior’s other striker, also picked up his goal by producing the 0-5. That was the final result as well. Excelsior climbs to second place in the Kitchen Champion Division. However, many other teams still have to take action this round. Den Bosch is now eighth.
