Danish man (28) arrested for liquidation attempt Sittard

In the Danish city of Ringsted, a 28-year-old Dane was arrested on suspicion of possible involvement in the liquidation attempt in Sittard last September. The man has been arrested at the request of the Limburg police.

The victim, a 38-year-old male, was seriously injured when he was shot at the Bradley Street on September 12. He was in a car when he was attacked from a motorcycle. The engine was later found burned out on the Raadskuilderweg in Geleen.

The precise role of the Dane in the shooting is now being investigated further. The suspect is still in Denmark. It is not yet known when he will be transferred to the Netherlands.

Other suspects

in this case, the police have already arrested two suspects Friday and Saturday morning. In Maastricht a 35-year-old man was arrested on Friday. Two firearms were found in his apartment. Early Saturday morning, a 36-year-old man from Sittard was arrested in a hotel in the municipality of Sittard-Geleen. The police do not rule out further arrests.
