De Graafschap hard-handedly puts Roda back in place: five frontrunners in KKD

Roda JC is back on earth after two great victories. The Zuid-Limburgers stood on six points from two Kitchen Champion League games and had a goal balance of 7-0, but went down hard on De Graafschap.Roda had to miss a number of players due to corona infections, while De Graafschap did not have to take action during the inter-country weekend. During the opening phase things went relatively evenly, but De Graafschap took a distance between minute 19 and minute 24 thanks to Elmo Lieftink. The checker produced two brilliant goals from distance and lifted the score to 2-0 with his own hands.

Immediately after rest, Roda had to bow her head for good: Daryl van Mieghem was sent into the depths, surrounded the hatched Youri Roulaux and entered the 3-0. After an hour of play it even became 4-0 via Ralf Seuntjens, who scored from the rebound. A larger punishment was saved for Roda: De Graafschap took the throttle back in the closing stages and held on to four hits.
The Superboeren have the maximum score after two matches. Mike Snoeis team will be leading alongside NAC Breda, SC Cambuur, Excelsior and Roda for the time being.
