De Limburger: Feyenoord ventured on Deadline Day in vain for Seuntjens

The Limburger came out surprisingly with Feyenoord news nineteen hours after Deadline Day. The Stadium Club also joined Fortuna Sittard in its quest for new players.
Feyenoord picked up Mark Diemers from Fortuna in 2020 and dropped his eye on Mats Seuntjens this time. According to De Limburger, the club received a phone call from Rotterdam South just before closing the transfer market on Tuesday. However, a surprising transfer didnt come off the ground anymore.
Feyenoord strengthened with Cyriel Dessers and Reiss Nelson on Deadline Day, but also missed several times: not only Seuntjens, also Nick Viergever (from PSV to Greuther Fรผrth) and Micky van de Ven (from FC Volendam to VfL Wolfsburg) did not end up coming to De Kuip. Fortuna, in turn, brought Wolverhampton Wanderers talent Nigel Lonwijk to Limburg, rented Arian Kastrati to Slovenian club NK Dekani and dissolved the contract of Lazaros Rota.
