De Mos makes a devastating verdict: ‘It is dangerous for players’

PSV won an Eredivisie game at sc Heerenveen for the first time since 2011, but afterwards, Bas Nijhuiss performance was the subject of discussion. According to Aad de Mos, the referee should have protected the PSV players better.
Goalscorer Cody Gakpo and Xavi Simons in particular were firmly tackled at the Abe Lenstra Stadium. Nevertheless, Nijhuis only handed out two yellow cards to Heerenveen. โ€œIt annoys me enormously,โ€ De Mos responds in a video item by the Eindhovens Dagblad. โ€œIt
s all nice and nice that you sit down to those talk shows and laugh away from situations. I think its a pretty nice guy, but its dangerous for players.โ€
โ€œThe KNVB should say something about that,โ€ continues De Mos. โ€œThe referee boss must call him to himself. He must whistle for offences that a blind person can see. Jules de Corte (a blind singer who died in 1996, ed.) sees that they are attacks on players feet and he just lets it go. Thats not possible, thats too much capital for the clubs.โ€
PSV coach Ruud van Nistelrooij, among others, expressed his wonder at Nijhuis
s whistling. The people of Eindhoven also saw two players drop out with Yorbe Vertessen and Ismael Saibari, but that was not due to Nijhuiss style of flutes. The two suffered muscle injuries.
