‘Deep bending’ for Koeman: ‘I recognize him from his period at Feyenoord’

Giovanni van Bronckhorst makes a deep bending for Ronald Koeman. Former FC Barcelona back looks forward to the crucial duel between Atlético Madrid and Barça and says Koeman is doing great in his first season at Camp Nou.
Van Bronckhorst sits in front of the tube Saturday, when Barcelona and Atlético play against each other. “Natúrlijk I follow everything, I give it a lot to the club because I have had such great years there myself. I only have beautiful memories of my years in Barcelona,” he says in conversation with De Cceit.
Koeman gets a praise from Van Bronckhorst. “What I like is that Ronald works as a coach with young talents that he develops well. I look at Pedri, at Ilaix Moriba, at Mingueza in the defense. And of course to Frenkie de Jong and Messi. It is wonderful to see that they reach such a high level together.”
“He has tactically brought about good changes and radiates peace,” continues Van Bronckhorst. “I recognize that from him from his period at Feyenoord. Ive seen him as a player and as a trainer. Thanks to his great career as a player and as a trainer, he is used to dealing with pressure. Hes stable, and thats nice for his players. When things were less in the beginning, he also remained calm.”
