Derby fever in Nijmegen: eight (!) Sunday clubs take action one day earlier

The upcoming Gelderse derby between NEC and Vitesse is especially the talk of the day in Nijmegen and the surrounding area, and a large number of Sunday amateurs should have taken action during the derby, but will do so for once on Saturday night.
The Gelderlander knows that a total of eight Sunday games are early by one day, with a view to Sunday‘s derby. The clash between fourth-graders OSC and DIOSA is one of them. Trainer Jeffrey Leiwakabessy’s team – from 1998 to 2006 and from 2013 to 2017 as a left-back for NEC – has planned a party night in the cafeteria after the home game with DIOSA, the Oosterhout club has announced through its own channels.
NEC and Vitesse will kick off at 2.30 PM on Sunday at De Goffert and meet for the first time since April 2017. Supporter groups from both clubs have already fired up the fire by dumping offal. By the way, Vitesse fans did so in a memorial from a NEC fan who died in 2015. โ€œWe strongly dissociate ourselves from this unacceptable and reprehensible action,โ€ Vitesse said.
