Djokovic with difficulty to the final tournament of Cincinnati

Novak Djokovic and Milos Raonic have reached the finals of the Cincinnati tournament, which is being played at Flushing Meadows in New York because of the corona pandemic.

Bautista turned out to be a difficult opponent for the Serbian, who had to be treated several times on his neck. The eighth-placed Spaniard knocked almost everything back and thus forced Djokovic to the limit. The number one of the world worked a gap in the opening set, but a second break cost him the set. Djokovic accelerated, got the ball through the Spanish wall, but Bautista came back from 4-1 to 5-4.

When the roof had to be closed because of rain, Bautista’s rhythm was broken for a moment. The Serbian took advantage, but after a 4-2 lead in the third set, he was completely lost. With a flawless tiebreak he still managed to get the win after more than three hours.
