After the home match against Sparta, Ajax trainer Erik ten Hag briefly discussed the situation of Quincy Promes. The attacker has been engaged in a transfer to Spartak Moscow for a month, which, however, is still not completed: the Russian transfer period goes into its last week, but Ten Hag seems to worry little.
Promes has long been around with his old love, but still has to get out of Ajax under his contract. On 28 January, the Oranje-International played its final match on behalf of Ajax and was not present on Sunday evening at Ajax-Sparta. “Whether there is development in it? Same status,” says Ten Hag at the end of the competition, in talks with ESPN. “He is in far-reaching negotiation, you should not disturb a breeding chicken.”
However, the Ajax trainer does not rule out that the egg will be released before Thursday 25 February — when the Russian transfer market also closes — after all. “He certainly breeds. Is there anything else coming out of the egg? Im going to assume that.”
