FC Dordrecht did not manage to run away from direct competitor FC Den Bosch, which lost 4-1 earlier in the evening on a visit to NEC. Jong FC Utrecht was a buddy too big for Dordrecht, which holds two points ahead of Den Bosch.
Jong FC Utrecht – FC Dordrecht 3-1Dordrecht already knew after the first half at Sportcomplex Zoudenbalch that it would be a difficult story. After about twenty minutes of playing, Albert Lottin set the home team, and at rest Jeredy Hilterman brought the margin to two. He was allowed to dock from the penaltydot, missed initially, but then worked the rebound behind keeper Liam Bossin.
Jong Utrecht was better than the opponent for almost the entire match, but after 72 minutes of play it had to fit again. Feyenoord mercenary Naoufal Bannis took care of the connection hit from the penalty point. But it did not work: ten minutes later Mohamed Mallahi decided the match with the 3-1.
NEC-FC Den Bosch 4-1The Brabanders had their first victory against Jong FC Utrecht since mid-September (!) , but could not continue that line during the midweek overtaking round. In Nijmegen they were already after five minutes after the facts, when Javier Vet entered the 1-0. In the final phase NEC was able to work on the goal balance: Elayis Tavsan made the 3-0 with a brilliant curl in the far corner, Cas Odenthal also entered the 4-0. The 4-1 of FC Den Bosch was only there for statistics, but was of great beauty: Paco van Moorsel tried it from a great distance and found the upper corner. NEC is due to the victory at ten points of number two De Graafschap, but seems already certain of participation in the post-petition.
