20 years old Vitesse midfielder Enrico Hernández extended his contract for a year on Wednesday and leaves for the Kitchen Champion Division on a rental basis. The player from El Salvador will defend FC Eindhovens colours this season.
Hernández is happy with his temporary transfer. “This is an ideal scenario for me,” let the midfielder know on the Arnhemmers club site. “I am proud to have been able to extend my contract with Vitesse for one season. My goal is to get back to Vitesse stronger and better next year.” Hernández is now under contract with the Arnhemmers until mid-2024.
The twenty-year-old Hernández debuted in Vitesses A selection last season and also made his first minutes in the Eredivisie. “I look back on a beautiful and educational debut year at the first selection. Now I would like to take the next steps in my development,” Hernández continues his story on the club site. “I think FC Eindhoven is a suitable environment for this.”
Johannes Spors, Technical Director of Vitesse, hopes that Hernández will return to Arnhem with the necessary baggage. “We see a lot of potential in Enrico. He is a creative and technically skilled player with a lot of stretch in it. Its a good thing hes going to do more flight hours in Eindhoven. We are convinced that this is a good step for both Enrico and Vitesse.”
