In a mosque in Bangladesh dozens of people were injured and presumably also killed in an explosion. At the end of the evening prayer, a gas line exploded under the mosque or near the mosque.
According to initial reports, some forty people were injured, but social media are circulating photos showing that the victims are covered with burns. Some of them are unlikely to survive.
The mosque is located in the city of Narayanganj, south of the capital Dhaka. At least 37 people were hospitalized. “Their condition is critical,” said a spokesman.
Investigations should find out what caused the explosion.
