EA has removed Benjamin Mendy, accused of rapes, from FIFA 22

Electronic Arts has removed Manchester City and France national team defender Benjamain Mendy from FIFA 22. His card will not appear on Ultimate Team until his trial for four rapes and sexual aggressions. Currently a BLM activist and online fighter Harrasment is being held in prison pending trial in January.

Mendy is accused of sexually assaulting four women from October 2020 to August 2021 at his home in Cheshire, one of them under 18 years old. his membership of Manchester City has been suspended, as has participation in the France national team.

However, FIFA 22 Ultimate Team players can find Mendy cards through the transfer market, a version of the game auction. And as news of his removal from the game spreads, these cards may grow in price.

FIFA 22 does not come out until 1 October, but from 22 September there is an early ten-hour access for subscribers to EA Play.
