Darter Raymond van Barneveld was stranded in the eighth finals on the first day of the final round of the so-called Qualifying School. The five-time world champion had to recognize his superior in the German Martin Schindler: 6-4.
‘Barney’ started his‘ second ‘dart career last week. He said goodbye to his favorite sport more than a year ago, but returned to that decision in September. Van Barneveld placed himself for the final round of the Qualifying School and can now earn a playing card for the PDC.
To do this, the Hagenaar has to finish one of the four rounds winning until Wednesday. He gets three second chances on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. In addition to the four day winners, the best eight darters on all rounds deserve a playing card for the PDC.
