‘Emergency meeting for Bosz: Lyon is seriously considering firing coach’

Peter Boszs position wavers at Olympique Lyon. According to leading Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouana, the French club is seriously considering firing the Dutch trainer.
Bosz is now said to have had an emergency meeting with managing director Vincent Ponsot. In it, the former coach of Vitesse and Ajax was given an ultimatum. He gets five more games to turn the tide and lead Lyon to Ligue 1
s top three. That wont be easy: Les Gones play against Lens (fourth), Stade Rennes (eighth) and Montpellier (ninth), among others.
Last season was disappointing for the volatile Lyon, which only finished eighth. The return of Alexandre Lacazette and Corentin Tolisso was supposed to provide an impetus, but Bosz is not doing much better for the time being. The last three games against Lorient, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain were lost. As a result, Lyon is sixth in Ligue 1, while the top three and thus at least one ticket for the Champions League preliminary rounds is the goal.
According to Aouana, some players, including Lacazette, don
t understand Boszs defensive lineup. Some players would also have complained to the clubs management about the Dutchmans tactics. Partly because of this, Bosz has now been given the ultimatum. Only if he gets better before the end of October can he save his job.
