Noa Lang scored the third goal for Club Brugge against Beerschot (3-0) on Sunday, but had to pay for it with an emotional yellow card. He took off his shirt to show a message for his recently deceased grandmother, “I love you grandmother, RIP.”
“ My grandmother died the day before yesterday. Its very difficult for me, because I couldnt go to my mother. But luckily, we won, and I was able to score for her. That is the most important”, says the former Ajacied against Het Nieuwsblad.
Club won Beerschot quite easily. “Without playing big”, realizes Lang. “I didnt play a big game myself. In the first ten minutes after rest, we feared the same scenario as against STVV. But it was all right.”
Against Beerschot it took a quarter of an hour before Bas Dost extended the ball from a cross of Charles De Ketelaere along goalkeeper Mike Vanhamel to the goal. Four minutes later it was already 0-2 by a hit from Odilon Kossounou. Long made it 0-3 in the 82nd minute.
Club Brugge leads in the Pro League with 7 points ahead of Racing Genk, which lost 2-0 on Saturday at Excelsior Mouscron.
