Emotionated Blind struck by Eriksen events: “Had a lot of impact”

Daley Blind was emotionated in front of the camera after the Netherlands-Ukraine after he had to restrain his tears during his switch. That had to do with the events surrounding his ex-teammate Christian Eriksen Saturday night.
In conversation with DecceIT, Blind tells Eriksen‘s cardiac arrest did not get him in the cold clothes. Last night (Saturday, ed.) had a lot of impact on me, personally. Except I know Chris well as a friend. That, of course, the situation is terrible for him. That I’ve experienced things in that corner myself. I had to overcome a mental horde for myself today (Sunday, ed.) to play. I had trouble with that.
Blind has considered not to play in the end, he admits. After more than an hour, his race was over and was replaced by Nathan Aké. I‘m proud to have done it. And then eventually the emotion comes out, Blind says. I didn’t sleep very well, I have to say honestly.

The violent incident with Christian Eriksen had a lot of impact on Daley Blind. Beyond the fact that I know Chris well as a friend, I‘ve experienced things myself in that corner… I’ve definitely thought about not joining. #Euro2020 #NEDOEK pic.twitter.com/pmvnioEdvj

The Orange players were watching Denmark Finland live on Saturday when Eriksen collapsed. Also guys who have experienced Nouri and who are teammates of Christian (Stefan de Vrij, ed.). What I‘m saying is that has so much impact. For me, it was recognizable things that made it so violent for me and my family, my parents, my wife.
Blind hopes that there are not too many speculations about Eriksen’
s career and sporting future in the media. Please leave him alone and give him time and space to recover.
