The enthusiast duo showed their fresh insights. Enthusiasts in-house at Unreal Engine 4 make a remake of one of the most controversial parts of the Lara Croft saga — Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, released in 2003. In a featured recording updated and refreshed model Lara Croft frolics on the show floor, showing animations and facial expressions.
Developers showed how smoothly it overcomes obstacles, opens doors, collects trophies, shoots and floats. The Angel of Darkness is a unique game in the series as it features two playable character, the familiar Lara and the incredibly clumsy Kurtis Trent compared to her.
The games release proved to be a failure, after which the rights to the series went to Crystal Dynamics. So far, an amateur remake of Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness is far from being completed.
Enthusiasts work through models and animations and work on game mechanics. It is more than likely that the work will never make it to release — especially if its owners remember its rights.
