‘Extra financial arm for Koeman and Barça: left back leaves for Leeds’

Junior Firpo is leaving FC Barcelona. According to Radio Catalunya, the left back will be presented on Monday at Leeds United, which counts fifteen million euros for him.
Barcelona is looking for revenue to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations and not to exceed La Liga‘s salary budget. Selling players can contribute to that and so Junior was looking for a new club some time ago. Leeds United struck.
Trainer Marcelo Bielsa’
s club has taken over the Spaniard for fifteen million euros, says Catalan radio station. That amount is paid in two instalments. Firpo would have signed for four years on Elland Road and will earn twice as much as he did in Camp Nou. It will be presented on Monday.
With the money released, trainer Ronald Koeman can enter the transfer market. Earlier, with Memphis Depay, Sergio Agüero and Eric García, he won three transfer free players and paid nine million euros to take over Emerson from Real Betis.
