Extra reflection period for Brenet: “But I think it will change little”

Joshua Brenet has been given extra cooling-off period from FC Twente, but it is not yet clear whether he will stay with the Tukkers. Technical director Jan Streuer is still in the dark, he informs RTV Oost.
FC Twente actually wanted to hear about Brenet‘s plans on Monday, but the fullback has been given respite due to private circumstances. But I think it won’t change much, says Streuer.
For the time being, the TD keeps all options open and also takes into account that Brenet still opts for a challenge elsewhere. I wouldn‘t have been excited until he said yesterday (Monday, ed.): I’m coming. He explained to me the reason and I understand that. I really don‘t know what it’s going to be. But, of course, we are already preparing – for a little longer, because it was not a certainty – for another right back.
Twente embarks on his Conference League adventure in August and is looking for another left-back, a right-back and an attacker. Brenet can play on both sides and also started preparing at FC Twente, where his contract has now ended. The two-time Dutch international also fenced with interest from PSV and Feyenoord, he announced after the first training in front of our camera.
