The Dutch cyclist Fabio Jakobsen has once again cycled a race. And that‘s the first time since his crash eight months ago.
At the first stage of the Tour of Turkey, Jakobsen finished in 147th place. That’s not high, but it was mainly about his comeback. On the site of his team he tells us that he is very happy:
Last birthday, Jakobsen was badly injured. He fought Dylan Groenewegen for the profit of the day, both driving about 80 miles an hour. Just before the finish line, Groenewegen took off, causing Jakobsen to crash. We made this video about that:
Some thought that Jacob would never be able to ride a bike again. But he recovered and was back on the bike after three months. Today he took part in a competition for the first time.
The first stage of that race was won by the Dutchman Arvid de Kleijn. After that, there are seven more stages in the Tour of Turkey.
