Newcastle United is still doing serious work for Sven Botman, but Lille OSC is not to be spoiled. According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, 35 million euros is also not enough for The Magpies.
Botman has been linked almost incessantly to the number nineteen of the Premier League since the much-discussed takeover of Newcastle United. AC Milan also has his eye on him, but according to Romano has not yet made an offer with Lille. Newcastle United did, but Frances reigning national champion Botman is keeping his ongoing contract until 2025. A rental transfer would also be unnegotiable for Les Dogues.
Whether Newcastle United is going to make another attempt for the Badhoevedorp stopper later this month will still have to be seen. It seems that not Botman, but Kieran Trippier is going to be the first big winter purchase of the Northern English. Englands 35-fold international must be transferred from Atlético Madrid.
