Good morning! Today is the farewell of Cardinal Simonis in the Catharina Cathedral in Utrecht and the verdict will follow in the case of the adopted Dilani Butink.
First the weather: it’s cloudy and there’s regularly some rain or drizzle. With a moderate southwest wind it becomes 18 to 21 degrees. In the evening there are explanations and it gets mostly dry.
Are you going on the road today? Here’s an overview of the work. Check the rail timetable here.
What can you expect today?
The verdict in the case of the adopted Dilani Butink follows. Butink is unable to trace her biological parents, because her birth papers turned out not to be in order. According to her, the Netherlands should have monitored this better. Ten trucks will drive around with solar panels on the roof. The experiment is paid for with European subsidies – the transport sector embraces it, but only sees it as a drop in the ocean. In the Catharina Cathedral in Utrecht people can say goodbye to Cardinal Simonis, who for decades was the face of the Roman Catholic Church in the Netherlands. Today the GP Faenza in Italy will be ridden by the MXGP motocrossers, which can be seen live from 13.15 on CCeit.nl

Several fires broke out in the Moria migrant camp on the Greek island of Lesvos. Many migrants fled the camp. Whether there are dead or wounded is not yet known.
“There are more fires in the camp, but this one is of a different order”, says aid worker Karin Arendsen of the Boat Refugee Foundation to press agency ANP. “Huge parts of the camp are on fire or will burn down.” Arendsen and her medical colleagues have been evacuated from the camp.
There are about 13,000 people living in Moria, while there is room for about 3,000 people.

And then there is this:
Cristiano Ronaldo has written history again. The 35-year-old attacker was the first European to cross the border of 100 internationals in the Nations League match between Sweden and his Portugal (0-2).
Ronaldo was allowed to moor just before rest for a free kick and shot impeccably for his jubilee hit. The only other player who managed to make 100 or more international goals was Ali Daei, the Iranian ended up at 109. Ronaldo is reportedly determined to break that record as well.
Have a good day!
