‘FC Barcelona takes action after threatening Dembélé language of Xavi’

Its FC Barcelona menens. The club will play out at Athletic Bilbao on Thursday night and in all likelihood Ousmane Dembélé will not be there. Unless something crazy happens.
Dembélé and Barcelona have been talking to each other for months, but white smoke is not yet in sight. Dembélé points to the Catalan club leadership, which in turn feels squeaked by the Dembélé camp. Xavi already knocked out war language during Wednesday
s press conference and now adds to the floor: Dembélé does not travel to Bilbao, reports Catalunya Radio.
According to the Catalan medium, this is a wake-up call from Barcelona because Dembélé doesnt extend his contract, a signal that the club is serious. Should Dembélé not sign in the coming hours, he will not play against Bilbao. Xavi therefore follows the advice of the leadership.
We can
t wait any longer for Ousmane. Either he extends his contract or we will find a different solution immediately. Weve been negotiating for five months now. It is now time to think in the club interest. I dont think its an option to put him in the stands for six months, Xavi said. Ousmane says he wants to stay, but then he doesnt sign. The message is clear. He has to renew his contract and otherwise we will try to sell it in January. There is no other way. I am amazed at the way his agent talks, and Dembélé on the other hand who tells me he wants to stay. I dont understand.
