Ramiz Zerrouki may have set his sights on a switch to Feyenoord, that does not mean that FC Twente will immediately tack. Technical director Jan Streuer informs TC Tubantia about this.
According to Streuer, Feyenoord‘s first bid was ‘far from sufficient‘. The Rotterdam proposal reportedly amounted to five million euros, plus bonuses. How much the Tukkers desire is not clear, but coach Ron Jans previously doubted that ten million would be enough. “There is still a lot to be done. It’s not like if a player wants something, it‘s going to happen,” Streuer says to the newspaper.
Zerrouki hopes that Twente will cooperate in a transfer to Feyenoord, he announced after the game with FC Cukaricki in the preliminary rounds of the Conference League. “I personally hope that the club will think along with me. I gave everything in the time I played for FC Twente and always set up well. Twente has also given me a great opportunity and I think it can now be a win-win for all parties.”
In De Kuip, Zerrouki is the intended successor to Fredrik Aursnes. He still has a contract until mid-2024, with the option for another season.
