FC Twente flies to Costa Rica at Ruizs request: “A great honor”

FC Twente has been invited by Bryan Ruiz to a farewell match in Costa Rica. Twente will then play against Ruiz‘s current club Liga Deportivo Alajuelense.
The game will be played in Costa Rica on December 17. It’
s a great honor to play Bryan Ruiz‘s farewell game, says Twente trainer Ron Jans. Together with his club, Bryan invited us to come to Costa Rica, he has meant a lot to FC Twente. It highlights the special relationship he has with the club. Moreover, this offers us a great opportunity to invest the training camp there. Twente’s selection will be in Costa Rica from December 12 to 22, in preparation for the second half of the season.
Twente brought Ruiz to Enschede in 2009. The striker scored 35 goals for the premier divisionist in 65 games and then left for Fulham, before playing for PSV, Sporting Portugal, Santos and Alajuelense.
