FC Twente striker Danilo proud debut for Olympic team Brazil

FC Twente attacker Danilo made his debut in Brazil‘s Olympic team. The 21-year-old striker, with eight goals the top scorer of the Eredivisie, was able to compete against South Korea (3-1) in the final phase of the winning training interland, just like PSV’s Mauro Junior.

Danilo and Mauro Junior entered the field in Cairo for the goalscorer Matheus Cunha and Rodrygo.

โ€œ This was a special and unique evening in my life,โ€ writes Danilo on Instagram. โ€œI thank God for this opportunity, I am glad to have made my official debut for the national team. A boy‘s dream comes true. I’m proud to wear the green-yellow shirt.โ€

Neres and Antony

Ajacied David Neres had a base seat in Brazil‘s Olympic team, which was behind early in the match, but quickly repacked themselves. After Reinier’s 3-1, Neres was changed. Next week, the South American team will also practice against Egypt. Ajax attacker Antony joined the friendly games on Monday due to a muscle injury. Danilo, lent by Ajax to FC Twente, was called up later in the week.

Brazil qualified for the Olympic Games. Four years ago, the Brazilians, with Neymar as captain, took Olympic gold at the Olympics in their own country.
