FC Groningen and FC Utrecht agree on Remco Balk‘s transfer. According to RTV Noord and the Dagblad van het Noord, the attacker is still making the switch this week.
Balk would be transfer-free this summer, but FC Groningen and FC Utrecht have accelerated the transfer. After completion of the paperwork, the nineteen year old assailant only needs medical examinations. That’s on the program for Wednesday.
In Utrecht, a multi-year contract is ready for Balk, which after Benaissa Benamar and Hidde ter Avest becomes the third winter reinforcement in the Domstad. Early this year it was announced that Balk would not take up an offer from Groningen, where he went through the entire youth education program.
Balk has so far played eleven official matches for Groningen. On October 4, he scored his only goal in the 1-0 match against Ajax.
