Feyenoord comes with confirmation: successor Malacia is officially in

The tenth Feyenoord reinforcement of the summer is a fact: Marcos López comes over from San José Earthquakes. He is the successor to Tyrell Malacia and signs until mid-2026.
Malacia left for Manchester United for at least fifteen million euros and López costs Feyenoord a fraction of that amount: about one to two million euros. Perus twenty-time international expired its contract in California at the end of 2022.
Great to be able to play for this beautiful club and city in Europe, says Lopez on the Feyenoord club site. This is a big step in my career and an opportunity that I want to seize with both hands. With the help of the people within the club and the support of the fanatical, loyal supporters, I believe I will soon feel at home here.
Since 2019, López played for San José Earthquakes, which picked him up at Sporting Cristal. After Santiago Gimenez, Jacob Rasmussen, Javairo Dilrosun, Sebastian Szymanski, Mats Wieffer, Danilo Pereira, Oussama Idrissi, Mohamed Taabouni, he is the tenth summer reinforcement in De Kuip.
Trainer Arne Slot would prefer to welcome another left-back, but it is questionable whether that will also happen. Last weekend attracted Rasmussen played in the last friendly match against Osasuna (1-2 loss) at that position.
