Feyenoord-debutant draws hope on Age slot: “Everyone starts at zero again”

Feyenoorder Achraf El Bouchataoui takes the wise lessons of Robin van Persie to heart. The Orange top scorer of all time is nowadays spade trainer in De Kuip.
Van Persie once noticed that he counts his steps before he shoots a ball on target. El Bouchataoui has also started working on this, he tells the Feyenoord channels. Van Persie has of course been a fantastic footballer, he is here and there with us on the pitch. You can learn a lot from that. And if someone like that says that, to watch, to figure out how you walk, what running actions you make… Then you just have to listen to that, I think.
El Bouchataoui hopes to go for his chance in De Kuip with that experience. As a mercenary of FC Dordrecht, the 21-year-old midfielder made his first foot in paid football and recently debuted against Fortuna Sittard for the Feyenoord head force. That tastes like more, he thinks. Maybe in the new season, with a new trainer (Arne Slot, red.), new opportunities. Everyone starts at zero again: prove myself hard, show me that I can do it and that I want it.
