Feyenoord laughs last in spectacle: Lift gold worth against NEC

Feyenoord has taken full loot against NEC in a real spectacle piece. The team of coach Arne Slot gave a 2-0 lead in De Kuip, even lagged after halftime, but then braved back in the final phase: 5-3.
Feyenoord dealt with PSV (0-4) and sc Heerenveen (3-1) in three days. The trust of the Rotterdammers was therefore great. NEC was pushed back as expected, but didnt last too long. After thirteen minutes Guus Til turned up in the penalty area and he was floored by Mattijs Branderhorst. Orkun Kökcü then put Feyenoord ahead of the penalty spot.
The Nijmegen people had not yet come from that setback or it was already 2-0; after a brilliant ball by Marcos Senesi, Edgar Barreto was surprised again in his back and Luis Sinisterra finished. As a result, there was no dirt on the air for Feyenoord, which saw a shot by Jens Toornstra passing. However, the Rotterdam storm went down after that, and so the visitors were able to get out of it as well. That suddenly resulted in the connection target after 32 minutes. Magnus Mattsson surprised Justin Bijlow with a slider in the corner.
The trust at NEC was all the way back and the game image was slowly tilting. The resurrection was completed shortly before rest. Jonathan Okita finished and Cas Odenthal printed. Feyenoord had to start again after rest, but the first big chance was for Elayis Tavsan. The answer was from Kökcü, who saw a volley end on the roof of the target. Slowly but surely, the home team, supported by The Legion, increased the pressure further. Tyrell Malacia was close with a hard shot, but hit the pole.
Time tapped away more and more in favor of the Nijmegen people, who began to believe in it. Former Feyenoorder Calvin Verdonk even seemed to provide a straight stunt after 73 minutes with a hard bang: 2-3. However, Feyenoord quickly straightened the back via Til, who hit from a corner kick. Shortly before time, the midfielder became the absolute hero by convincing hitting. The VAR still saw a push error of Bryan Linssen, but arbitrator Joey Kooij did not agree with that: 4-3, and Cyriel Dessers completed the party completely: 5-3.
Feyenoord takes third place in the Eredivisie from PSV, albeit on goal balance. NEC gets stuck in place ten.
