Feyenoord has benefited from the defeat of PSV against AZ. At home against PEC Zwolle the Rotterdammers did not convince, but a hit by Luis Sinisterra was enough for three points: 1-0.
As a result, the Classical between Ajax and Feyenoord goes next Sunday between numbers one and two of the Eredivisie.
Linssen for Jørgensen
Bryan Linssen, who made a hat trick just before the winter stop and still had to sit on the bench against Sparta, returned to the base. This was at the expense of Nicolai Jørgensen, who had just made his first goal in almost three months on Sunday.
Knowing that PSV had lost to AZ earlier in the evening and the road to second place in the top division was open, an offensive Feyenoord could be expected. Not much of that turned out to be found in the first half.
After Leroy Fer and Bram of Poland posed some threat in the opening phase with mop shots, the pace of the home team fell.
The closest thing to the opening hit was Lucas Pratto, constantly lurking for his chance. The Argentine got the ball from the side and took fire at the Zwolse goal, but also his commitment went alongside.
Afterwards, the value of entertainment in the empty, but with thousands of banners brightened up Kuip significantly. Once again, Feyenoord became dangerous after grabbering of PEC goalkeeper Zetterer on a front of Linssen, but Jens Toornstra didnt know what to do with it.
After rest, Zetterer did not look good again when he pushed the ball out of a front of the Sinisterra pardoes in front of the feet of Pratto, but a little later he had a fine reflex in his house on a cup of Argentine.
The 1-0 of Feyenoord was also created after some clumsy in the Zwolse defense. Sinisterra picked up the ball and blasted hard into the corner of the target. For the Colombian, just back from long injury eleed, it was his first goal since February 1, 2020.
The resistance of PEC, which for the last time scored a goal in De Kuip against Feyenoord in 2008, was broken.

“ It all went so hard”, sighted Feyenoord trainer Lawyer after the game. “The first half was very moderate. I dont know if the Classical of Sunday is playing. But the fact is, I havent seen some guys today.”
“ Coaching against Ajax is not difficult. Then the battle will be there”, prosecuted Lawyer. “Then there is the will to offer counterplay. In these kinds of games, we have to make the game, which is more difficult.”
Leroy Fer also suspects that the top player in Amsterdam played a role. “Maybe it will play along in our heads.”
Bryan Linssen was certainly not the only Feyenoorder to play a moderate first half, but Lawyer decided to replace him with Luis Sinisterra after rest.
And now let them make the winning hit. “This exchange coped well”, shouted Lawyer, who, with a quintessence, referred to the time when he was rejected because of a change from Arjen Robben. “But Ive also done thousands of bills that didnt work out well.”
