GSD summed up 2020 by publishing the EMEA-region retail sales charts and digital sales of games by various publishers, excluding Nintendo and Bethesda, on Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Nintendo EShop. Excluding sales in the UK, last year in the EMEA region sold 123. 7 million games, which is 19% more than in 2019.
Of these, 59% were in the figure (vs. 48% in 2019), if we do not take into account countries and publishers that do not share sales figures in both retail and number.
All three charts, combined, retail and digital, led FIFA 21. However, the retail leader was Nintendo (28%), and in the figure – Ubisoft (18%).
In both cases, EA occupies the second line. The leading platform in the figure was PS4 (52%), and in second place – PC (27%).
In retail, Sony is still leading the console (43%), but the second place is already Switch (41%) . Excluding sales in the UK, last year in the EMEA region sold 5.
59 million consoles (-1. 9%).
Total revenue is 1. 7 billion euros (+12%).
The best selling turned out to be Switch (+22%), which nearly tripled the PS4 (-42%). Five leaders are closed by PS5, Xbox Series and Xbox One.
Without taking into account sales in the UK, last year in the EMEA region sold 18. 2 million accessories.
