Title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City hit each other for the first time this season on Anfield Sunday afternoon. The game between the champions of the last two Premier League editions ended in a 2-2 draw: Liverpool took a lead twice, Manchester City returned twice.
The first half was coloured by an inimitable solo by Bernardo Silva, who put Phil Foden into position. However, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker prevented the 0-1 and Manchester guests remained the parent party, but it was Liverpool that straightened their back after halftime and took a lead. Salah found a hole in the City defense and Sadio Mané took advantage: 1-0.

After that, the bear was loose: in more than ten minutes it became 1-1, 2-1 and 2-2, and Foden passed Alisson, with a tight slider from a difficult angle. Salah helped Liverpool a new lead with an unprecedented solo: the Egyptian played all his pale blue opponents and shot inexorably. Not long after, Manchester City came back to equal heights, after Kevin De Bruyne shot through a hit.
Liverpool got the biggest chance at the winning hit just before time, after keeper Ederson missed a high ball. Fabinho had a deserted goal ahead, but Rodri saved City: thanks to an ultimate tackle, it didnt turn 3-2, but stayed at 2-2, while Liverpool continues to keep one point ahead of Manchester City: both clubs stand at one and two points respectively by leader Chelsea.
