Finally hit FC Emmen: first competition win this season

FC Emmen finally got his victory in the Eredivisie. After 22 competition duels in a row without victory, Saturday night was a hit for the team of trainer Dick Lukkien. At home, PEC Zwolle, the number 13 in the Eredivisie, was defeated with 3-2. The last victory of Emmen was dated 7 March last year against VVV-Venlo, just before the competition was demolished due to the coronacrisis.

In the 36th minute Luka Adziฤ‡ signed the opening hit. Immediately afterwards, through one of the open corners of the stadium, fireworks were thrown towards the field. It led to so much smoke, that referee Serdar Gรถzรผbรผyรผk sent the 22 players to the side.

After a short break, PEC quickly returned to the same level via Bram of Poland. FC Emmen took the lead once again. Michael de Leeuw shot the 2-1 behind the Zwolse goalkeeper Xavier Mous after a good attack over the right side.

More than 10 minutes in the second half Thomas Buitink got a good chance to win the 2-2, but his headball went next. The Zwollenaren insisted further and for Emmen it became more and more stuffy. Twenty minutes before, the relief was clearly audible in the Oude Meerdijk when Jari

Pak entered the third Drenthe hit of the evening: 3-1. It became exciting again when PEC scored the connection hit via Yuta Nakayama: 3-2. so that the first victory this season in the Eredivisie is a fact.

With 9 points from 23 matches, Emmen is still at the bottom, but the backlog on Willem II and ADO Den Haag is now only 4 points.
