Fire brigade takes sixteen cows from the vulture cellar, four dead

The fire brigade in Lemiers (South Limburg) took a total of sixteen cows from a millet near a farm on Sunday. The animals were checked directly by a veterinarian. Four cows were found to have died, reports the safety region.

According to a spokeswoman for the fire department, the animals have fallen through the floor, leading them to the well. Its not yet known what caused the floor to fail.

The fire department was busy all day on Sunday after a report came in at 08.30 that there were cows in the well. Earlier they thought about thirteen grazers were in the vulture cellar, but eventually it turned out to be sixteen.

The fire brigade had to drive the cattle in the direction of the exit of the well, from which they were hauled with the help of a crane.
