First game Ten Hag at Old Trafford: return Ronaldo, Martínez in the center of the back

Erik ten Hag coached his first game as Manchester United manager at Old Trafford on Sunday. The match against Spain‘s Rayo Vallecano ended in a 1-1 draw. Cristiano Ronaldo returned in the match selection.
Ronaldo was allowed to start in the base of Ten Hag and played for 45 minutes. Lisandro Martínez, Tahith Chong, Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen also played from the first minute. Martínez, together with Raphaël Varrane, took center stage in the back.
The game only came loose in the second half. Amad Diallo scored shortly after the break, after which Álvaro García Rivera tied the score ten minutes later. There was no more score after that. In the second half, Ten Hag allowed players such as Eric Bailly Hannial Mejbri, Shola Shoretire, Zidane Iqbal and Isak Hansen-Aaroen to fill in.
Next week we are going to see what the preparation Manchester United has delivered. The club then takes on Joël Veltman’
