Five dead in case of attack on nursery in Brazil

In an armed attack on a nursery in southern Brazil, at least five people were killed. It concerns three children and two employees of the nursery, says the military police. Several children were taken wounded to the hospital.

An 18-year-old man would have invaded the nursery in Saudades with a machete and then struck. Why he did that is not clear. According to the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, the defendant man had no previous convictions to his name, nor was he known to the shelter.

Local media report that the man himself was also seriously injured and transferred to the hospital. According to a government official, he tried to take his own life.

The suspects parents are in shock, the police say. Cops have searched their apartment.
