A small plane accident in southeastern France killed five people this afternoon, French media reports.
The Jodel D140 aircraft crashed around 4.30 pm near the municipality of Les Adrets in the Isère department, about thirty kilometres northeast of Grenoble. The aircraft was owned by a local flying club.
The aircraft would make a “discovery flight” of up to 30 minutes over the mountains in the vicinity of Versoud, within a radius of up to 40 km. The maximum number of passengers is four with a maximum of three adults. That is why there might also be a child among the victims. That has not been confirmed yet.
During the recovery of the aircraft, the emergency services found charred bodies. The cause of the accident is not yet known.
