Five Orange conclusions: experiment De Boer failed, questionable turn Krul

The Dutch team did not have a nice start to prepare for the European Championships. Coach Frank de Boer doesnt want to get on it yet, but the 5-3-2 system didnt come out at all. Five conclusions after a disappointing appearance by Orange against Scotland.
Orange disappoints, 5-3-2 experiment failureToRanYou did not play anything at all against the battered Scotland. De Boer wanted to try a 5-3-2 system, but Scotland was not the right opponent for that. The Netherlands had hardly any occupation in the front and created almost no opportunities. Moreover, it was not possible to put pressure on the Scots early. In short: the organization was defensive and offensive under the measure.
Weghorst cannot live up to hype. Finally, the call of half the Netherlands was honoured by De Boer: Weghorst is back in Oranje. The striker was allowed to start immediately in the base against Scotland, but it must have been a frustrating evening. The striker of VfL Wolfsburg was not found at all by his teammates and must have felt lonely in the front.
No stage fright for TimberThe Ajax defender made his debut for the Netherlands in the Algarve, but there was little to notice about that. It was admirable how calm Timber was at the ball. He even stood with a beautiful ball on Georginio Wijnaldum at the base of the 1-1. A great debut.
Keepersissue OnsoranYou sowed confusion before kick-off: Maarten Stekelenburg seemed to start, but shortly before kick-off it was restored. It was Tim Krul who was under the bar. The goalkeeper of Norwich City didnt have much fun with that. He wasnt busy, but he got two hits on his ears. His competitor will not have been impressed by it. The Ajacied will probably have a chance against Georgia. โ€œIts really close together. It is difficult, they are risky together,โ€ said De Boer, who will choose based on what I see and my feeling.
What
s next? Orange plays Sunday in Enschede the wave off match against Georgia. Its the final test before the final tournament. It is interesting to see if De Boer dares to stick to the 5-3-2 system or if he switches back to the familiar 4-3-3. The European Championships will start a meeting against Ukraine on 13 June. A grip is provided for the players.
