The bullet is through the church: Wilfried Gnonto makes the switch from FC Zürich to Leeds United. The striker was well on its way to Feyenoord, but still goes to England.
This is reported by Fabrizio Romano. Two weeks ago, there were stories that Gnonto would be on his way to Leeds and that turns out to be true. According to Romano, it‘s round. The transfer has not been announced yet, as not all documents have been received. But it’s about to happen: Gnonto leaves for Leeds.
Earlier this summer, Feyenoord was busy bringing Gnonto to Rotterdam. It is reported that the club was even around personally with the striker, until Zurich suddenly demanded a higher transfer fee. Romano recently reported that Zurich gets between four and five million for Gnonto. It is unclear whether anything has changed there.
