Fortuna Sittard hired Ben Rienstra. The thirty-year-old midfielder comes over from Kayserispor, where he was active for one season, and signed a contract for three seasons in Sittard.
“I am proud to play for Fortuna Sittard in the coming years. I’m very much looking forward to this new project and I hope that I can contribute to the growth that the club has started in recent years”, Rienstra says via the site of Fortuna.
Rienstra left sc Heerenveen last summer for half a million euros to go to the Turkish club, for which he played 26 league games. Before his move abroad, he played 255 premier league games. Rienstra also played for Heracles Almelo, PEC Zwolle, Willem II and AZ.
Fortuna has been very active in the transfer market lately. No less than twelve players were welcomed in Sittard, including Mats Seuntjens and Mike van Beijnen (both from Gençlerbirligi), Emil Hansson (Hannover 96) and Sebastian Polter (Union Berlin).
