France completes bizarre comeback and heads to Nations League final

France is the second Nations League finalist after an entertaining night. The French seemed to lose to Belgium, but made a handsome comeback in the second half.
In the first half, Belgium was strong and France did not actually use it. However, it was relatively long before Roberto Martínezs team rewarded itself. In the 37th minute it happened: Yannick Carrasco surprised goalkeeper Hugo Lloris with a slider in the short angle: 1-0, and soon after that it even turned 2-0 for Belgium. Romelu Lukaku shook off Lucas Hernández with a good feint, after which the striker with his chocolate leg popped the ball against the ropes.

However, after the break, the game image changed completely. The first time awaiting France took the initiative and Belgium was pushed back. After a long hour of play, the French made the hookup strike because Karim Benzema scored out of the spin with his wrong leg. It was even even less than ten minutes later. Antoine Griezmann was floored, after which France received a penalty by intervention by the VAR. It was used by Kylian Mbappé, who was still missing against Switzerland at the European Cup.

And there is the equalizer 🤝 Griezmann gets a tap from Tielemans and the ball should be 11 meters. Mbappé shoots in hard without a doubt 🚀 #ZiggoSport #NationsLeague #BELFRA

After the equalizer, France remained the better team, although Belgium entered the competition a bit again. Our southern neighbours even thought they would get ahead again, after Lukaku passed Lloris for a second time. However, the hit was frowned upon.
Not much later, the winning goal fell on the other side. With a great bang, Hernández led his team to the Nations League final. In it, France hits Spain, which took part with European champion Italy on Wednesday.
