The developers of the free fan remake Transport Tycoon Deluxe announced that their project will be released on Steam as early as April 1. The original economic simulator came out in 1994, and its remake, Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe, or simply OpenTTD, appeared back in 2004. However, thanks to the open source code, the project is supported and receives updates so far.
OpenTTD can already be downloaded on the project site, but the authors noticed that other people publish a remake in some stores. These versions dont always get fresh updates.
In addition, developers cant guarantee that no one modifies them. The authors decided to overcome the problem by releasing the correct version of OpenTTD on Steam.
They had previously published the project in the Microsoft Store. Simultaneously with the new release, the developers plan to release update 1.
