Fans of rhythm games are surely familiar to the browser game Friday Night Funkin, or FNF. In it, players must get into a rhythm to defeat a lot of opponents and enjoy a date with their favorite girl – well, what her parents are demons. FNF earned popularity: it passed 15 million times.
And its creators, the Newgrounds user group, thought about releasing the project on “real” platforms. However, they found it dishonest to ask for money for what was originally free.
The goal of the Kickstarter-campaign is to take Friday Night Funkin to a new level, denoted by the subtitle The Full Ass Game. The authors want to add improved animation, multiplayer capability, new levels and melodies and other enhancements and expansions.
This goal was to the liking of the players. The required amount of $60,000 the game collected in a matter of hours.
Currently, there are more than two million dollars on the account, and three more days before the final. Those wishing to get acquainted with the free version of Friday Night Funkin at Newgrounds.
