Intel will succeed CEO in a month — Pat Gelsinger will be replaced by Bob Swan. The current head held the position for the last two years, and he joined the company in 2016. The firm has been experiencing problems recently, including due to manufacturing difficulties and pressure from competitors.
Swans potentially departure could be related to this, however he had not initially planned to hold off in office. Intel itself did not disclose the reasons for the management change, but noted that it had nothing to do with financial performance.
